How to Get Into the Pose

  • 1Lie on your back, soles of feet together, knees falling open to sides
  • 2Arms rest by sides, palms up
  • 3Can place bolster or pillows under spine for supported version
  • 4Blankets or blocks can support knees
  • 5Allow complete release

Modifications

  • If hips are tight: Place blocks or blankets under each knee for support
  • If low back is uncomfortable: Place small roll under low back
  • If too intense: Bring feet farther from body
  • To make more restorative: Add bolster under spine, blanket under head, eye pillow
